Description And Features
The REOD400 EOD Robot is a state-of-the-art solution for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) in high-risk situations. With a unique "two-gripper" design, it can perform multiple tasks simultaneously, enhancing its effectiveness in operations like urban anti-terrorism, public safety, earthquake relief, and bomb disposal. The robot's compact size (fully stowed dimensions of ≤830mm × 600mm × 460mm) and lightweight build (≤37kg) make it highly portable. It offers a top speed of ≥1.8m/s across 5 gears, an obstacle clearance of ≥300mm, and can climb grades and stairs up to 45°, making it adaptable to various terrains.
The REOD400 features an 8-degree-of-freedom manipulator with precise control capabilities, reaching a maximum gripping height of ≥1700mm and a farthest grabbing distance of ≥1380mm. It supports a 7-channel video display for multiple perspectives, along with remote 3D posture real-time display. It has a battery life of ≥2 hours, is IP66-rated for dust and water resistance, and can be controlled wirelessly up to 1000m or via cable up to 100m. Customization options are available to meet unique operational needs.
Innovative "Dual Gripper" Design
The innovative "Dual Gripper" design features a robotic arm with both a "primary gripping claw" and a "multi-functional extension claw," significantly enhancing flexibility in task execution. This feature enables simultaneous operations, such as "grasping hazardous items" and "performing auxiliary actions like door opening, cutting, or hooking." This overcomes the limitation of traditional single-gripper robots. The primary claw can handle objects weighing 6-16 kg, with a maximum clamping force of 300 N.
Support Touch / Joystick Control
The REOD400 utilizes an advanced control system combining both graphical touch and joystick control. Its graphical interface eliminates the need for memorizing complex button functions, making operation intuitive and reducing training time. The joystick and touchscreen combination also improves reliability and efficiency by allowing redundant methods of control.
Remote 3D Real-Time Display
The REOD400 employs high-speed links and advanced technology to deliver real-time feedback of its status information. It also features leading 3D virtual display technology for remote real-time viewing of the robot's posture and status. The handheld controller enables intuitive interaction, offering zooming and multi-angle observation.
Intelligent Preset Posture Control Design
The REOD400 integrates "Intelligent Preset Posture Control for Common Tasks," allowing it to automatically reach pre-set positions with one click. This minimizes manual input during operations, acting as an effective assistant for operators in high-risk environments and improving reliability.
"X-Y-Z" Joint Linkage Technology
The REOD400 features "X-Y-Z" joint linkage, which employs Cartesian coordinate-based control for efficient, multi-joint coordination. This control method significantly reduces operation time and enhances precision, particularly when dealing with hazardous objects, by offering rapid one-dimensional space gripper translation.
Mode-Adaptive Imaging System
The robot’s imaging system acts an adaptive imaging system comprising seven cameras, optimizing situational awareness during operations. It automatically switches between driving, primary gripping, and extended gripping modes, providing richer environmental perspectives. The mode-adaptive system enhances remote observation capabilities.
Eight-Degree-of-Freedom Integrated Robotic Arm Design
With its 8-degree-of-freedom design, the REOD400 offers superior reach and flexibility. It is capable of performing a wider range of tasks compared to conventional 5 or 6-degree-of-freedom robots. This includes operations in complex environments, such as deep pits or on tabletops.
Versatile Quick-Change Tool System
The REOD400 comes equipped with a versatile "quick-change tool system," featuring 18 types of tools—6 gripping tool sets, 6 basic tool sets, and 6 extended tool sets. This allows for rapid adjustment to meet various operational demands, enhancing the robot's versatility in hazardous environments.
